It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ronald McDonald announce his passing at the Emile Benoit House in Stephenville Crossing on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the age of 75 years. He will be sadly missed by two sons: Terry (Genny) of St. George’s and grandchildren: Tera (Matthew), T.J. (Danielle), Robert and great grandchild Ryder and son Chris (Catherine) of Stephenville and grandchildren: Christopher and Matthew and sister-in-law Monica McDonald. He was predeceased by his brothers: Richard, Leo, James, Peter, Edward Jr., Bernard, William, Francis and sisters: Loretta Barron and Mary Ellen Kennedy. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Stephenville Crossing on Friday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Russell’s Funeral Home Chapel, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville on Saturday, May 7th at 2:00 p.m. with Father Patry officiating. Cremation to follow and private family interment will take place at a later date at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brook Street, Stephenville Crossing. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
