Mrs. Bernice Fournier of Medicine Hat, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the age of 80 years. Bernice leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Trish (Brad) Jassman of Medicine Hat and their family, Mandy (Scott) Berg and their daughter, Aydria; Melissa (Drew) Schafer and their children, Denae and Mathis; Tyler (Corie) Jassman; Colette (Larry) Hegg of Regina and their family, Jarrie (Maxine) Hegg and their daughters, Naomi and Lennae; Odia-Côtes Ward and her children, Mataya and Kasden; Gerald Fournier of Abbottsford and his family, Amber (Kevin) Chartier and thier children, Dawson, Colby and Cambria; Carly Fournier and Lindsey Freizen; one sister, Lila McIntyre; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bernice was predeceased by her daughter, Diane Fournier; her parents, Bernard and Elizabeth McGovern; one brother, Raymond McGovern; and two sisters, Francis Backstrom and Margaret Cote. Her love for God and her family were very important to Bernice. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. The Funeral Service was held in the Dream Centre Church on Monday, August 17, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Greg Keen and Don Ferguson co-officiating.
