SCOTT, JAMES DAVIS - The death of James Davis Scott of Fredericton, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011. Born in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late James and Rebecca (Smith) Scott and the last surviving member of the Scott’s family. He was the husband of Marjorie (Wood) Scott. During his employment he worked with NB Tel from 1946 until he retired in 1958 he later worked for NB Power from 1958 - 1983 when he retired again. He was an avid reader, was very active in lawn bowling, alley bowling and golfing. His greatest passion was doing Stain Glass where he was a perfectionist. He truly enjoyed and appreciated music. He enjoyed time spent with friends and especially family. Survived by his wife, Marjorie; one son, Stephen (Sophie) Scott of Nashwaak, NB; step son, William (Jackie) Brydges of Oakville ON; step-daughter Linda Brydges (Ralph Moore) of Kitchener, ON; grandchildren, Willie, Taylor, Jenna, Angela, Sarah and Bridget; sister-in-law, Dot Scott; nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Vaughan, Earl, Glendon; one sister, Lois.
There will be no visitation by family request. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 10th, 2011 at 11:00 am at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel. Rev. Mark Trzop will officiate.
