CLARKE, Joseph – Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Memorial Veterans’ Pavilion, Joseph Clarke on August 14, 2009 in his 93rd year; World War II Royal Navy Veteran and longtime employee of the CBC. Predeceased by his wife Mary (nee Hollingsworth of Liverpool, England) in 1999 and his son-in-law Tony Allen in 1995; parents George Peddle Clarke and Lucy Ann Clarke; brothers Edgar, Harry, Andrew and Ralph; sisters Edith (Earle) and Mildred. Left to celebrate his life, sons Dr. Harry Clarke (Marie), David and Allan (Bernadette); daughter Sylvia Allen; grandsons Harrison, Adam and Bradley; his loving sister Pearl Bloom in Connecticut and sister-in-law Mary Clarke; also many relatives and friends. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Caribou Memorial Veterans’ Pavilion for their excellent care during the past eight years.
