Steeves, Karen E. - Karen E. Steeves, 54, of New Scotland, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Ross J. Steeves and the late Ione Budd. Karen was a loving, mother, grandmother and sister. A nature lover, her hobbies included bird watching, hand crafts and music. In addition to her mother, Karen will be sadly missed by her daughters, Patricia (Trish) Steeves (René Blanchard) of Shippagan and Theresa Crossman (Jordan) of Moncton; son, Justin (Juddy) Steeves, of Moncton; grandchildren, Anthony, Kaila and Ashley; sister, Dale Anne Fitzsimmons of Hillsborough; brother, David Steeves (Carol) of Lower Woodstock; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father and mother, she was predeceased by her sister, Eleanor and brothers, Cleveland (Clevie) and Anthony.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Monday, May 9, 2011 from 1:00 pm until the time of funeral service at 3:00 pm at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Aaron Billard officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Lone Pine Cemetery, Canaan Station.
