KING, JAMES (JIM) A. - James (Jim) A. King was born in Smith Creek June 13, 1936, He was the eldest son of the late George A. M. and Alice Clyde (Campbell) King of Sussex., NB. James was a graduate of Sussex High School and Nova Scotia Agricultural College at Truro. He worked at the Fredericton Experimental Farm and on farms in the Sussex area for many years. For the past eight years James has resided at the Orchard View Long term Care Facility in Gagetown where he enjoyed the conversation, care and consideration of staff. James will be remembered for his kindness and his fond interest in all members of the extended family, as well as his keen memory for the details of our lives. He particularly treasured visits from family and friends, and always looked forward to news of Sussex. He is survived by his brother, John (Dona) of Gagetown NB; his nephews: George (Ellen) King of Hudson, QC and Douglas King of Canmore, AB; nieces Janet King of Edmonton, AB and Cathy (Bill) Carew of St Albert, AB as well as great-nephews: Willem King and Jaxon Carew; his great-niece, Vinessa Carew and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his younger brother, Andrew (Winnie) who passed away on August 29, 2010 in Edmonton AB at the age of 69. James (Jim) A. King passed away at the Orchard View Long Term Care Facility on May 6, 2011.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), at James’ request a graveside service will be held at Gosline Cemetery, Knightville at a later date. Donations may be made to the NB Mental Health Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
