The death occurred at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Sunday, August 16, 2009, of Wilma Margaret Ford, of Sheen Street, Summerside, aged 100 years. Born in South West Lot 16, she was the daughter of the late William and Jessie (Day) Smith. Survived by her children Isabel Gallant, Summerside; Evelyn Gallant, St. Catharines, ON; Georgie Ford, Summerside; Hazel (George) Pavlinic, Parry Sound, ON; Wendell (Sandra) Ford, St. John, NB; Wilma Ferrier, Waterville, N.S.; by 25 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and by numerous great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Beecher Ford; daughter Wanda Gosh; sons Raymond and Spurgeon Ford; grandchildren Robert W. Gallant, Robert Gosh, Christopher Ford; sons-in-law Vernon J. Gallant, Scott Ferrier, Clifford Gosh; sisters Isabel Birch and Gladys Baglole; and by a brother Spurgeon Smith. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the P.E.I. Humane Society or a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated.
