Passed peacefully away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Pleasant view Towers Long-term Care Facility, at the age of 93 years. Predeceased by her husband Eric Chafe, grandson Maurice Durdle, and by a number of brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn with fond memories are her children Sandra Durdle (late Edmund), Glenys Gorman (Bill), Eric Chafe, Ruby Grouchy (Fred), Gordon Chafe, Elizabeth Chafe (Karl Gasland), Kalvin Chafe (Lisa) and Geoff (Joyce), a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Minnie Taylor (Cecile) and Irene Peddle (late Frank), fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home 84 LeMarchant Rd. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from St. Thomas Anglican Church at 2 p.m. Inurnment in Anglican Cemetery, Forest Rd. at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
