(June 16, 1930 - August 13, 2009). Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, Ronald Edward Bearns, aged 79 years. Predeceased by his parents Edward Bearns and Elizabeth Tilley; his son Randy; his grandson Craig. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 61 years Margaret (nee Alcock); son Dean, wife Anna, granddaughter Nicole; son Michael, wife Janice, grandsons Allan and Ronnie; son Phillip wife Brenda, grandchildren Lee-Anne and Cory; son Tony, wife Karen, grandchildren Melissa and Mitchell; grandchildren Sheri Burke and Jason Bearns; great-grandchildren Dylan and Hunter Burke, all of Ontario; sisters Patricia Carroll of Kingston, ON and Marguerite Keefer of Georgia, USA; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
