FLANAGAN, KENNETH - (1928-2011) - BASS RIVER, NB - Kenneth Flanagan, 82, of Bass River passed away peacefully at Foyer Assomption, Rogersville on Sunday, May 8th, 2011. Born in Bass River Point he was the son of the late Gordon and late Hannah (Walker) Flanagan. Before retiring, Kenneth had worked as a woodsman. He attended St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Browns Yard. Kenneth will be sadly missed by his daughter; Sharon Young (Ed) of Bass River, four sons; Kenneth (Louise) of Harcourt, Raymond of Bass River, Randy (Sue) of Targettville, Bobby of Targettville, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, five sisters; Rose Rafuse (George) of Sidney, NS, Murtle Moffat (late Paul) of McAdam, Charlotte Hudson (Ivan), Helen Hudson (late Raymond) of Upper Rexton, Alice Flanagan of Moncton, two brothers; Wayne Flanagan of Bass River, Lloyd Flanagan of Bass River and several nieces and nephews. Kenneth was predeceased by his wife Helen and four brothers; Joe, Ivan, Jack and Loarn.
As per Kenneth’s wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 11th, 2011 at 11:00 am, St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Browns Yard, officiated by Reverend Cathy Laskey and assisted by Cecil Symes. Donations to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
