We regret to announce the passing of William Alfred Ford, age 80, from Charlottetown, at the Dr.G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on May 7, 2011. Predeceased by his parents, Hector and Annie (nee Drover), wife, Mabel (nee Chaulk). sister, Josie Murphy and brother, Hedley Ford. Leaving to mourn are his children, Ralph (Bonnie), Kevin, Warren (Gwen), Dave (Kathy), Paul (Lori), Michael (Lauren); grandchildren, Jeffrey , Joanne (Andrew), Melissa, Michelle, Michael, Erin, Benjamin, Nathan, Emily; great grandchild, Logan; brother, Boyde (Annie), sisters, Ettie Chaulk, Emma Abbott (Melvin) , Anne Colbert (Walter); sister-in-law, Nina Pearce; brother-in-law, Sid (Mary); special friend, Miriam Penney and other relatives and friends. Rested at the United Church, Charlottetown from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Cook, took place on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 with interment following. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.
