Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home, on Monday, August 17, 2009, of Vera (Willis) Proud of Kingston, age 86 years.
Beloved wife of the late Willard Proud and dear mother of Nora (David) Jenkins, Hubert (Mary Jane Grant) Proud and Florine Proud; cherished grandmother of Krista (Graham) Swan, Heidi (Bruce) Lusby, Sarah (Jeff) Wheeler, Jamy-Ellen (Michael) Klenavic and Joshua (Amanda) Proud. Vera was delighted by nine great-grandchildren. She is survived by brothers, Fulton (Vera) Willis and Earl (Georgie) Willis and by sister-in-law, Blanche Willis.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Kingston United Church Cemetery. If so desired, memorials to Kingston United Church Cemetery would be appreciated.
