COSNICK, LAURELLA ANNE (née WARD) - May 18, 1944 - May 8, 2011 - Reserve Mines, NS - Laurella is the daughter of the late Fred (Teddy) Ward and Marie (Peitzsche) Ward. She is survived by her mother, daughter Susan, Reserve Mines, son Scott (Lesley), Glace Bay, sister Alyce (David Parkes), Stillwater Lake, NS, sister-in-law Rena (Douglas Hill), Bedford, NS, nieces Tracy (Vincent Buker), Cumming, GA, and Jennifer (Nicolas Berryessa), Roswell, GA, Carla (Raymond Wambolt), Newport, NS, and nephew Stephen (Michelle) Hill, Hammonds Plains, NS. She was pre-deceased by her husband George and his parents Margaret and Stephen Cosnick.Her happiest times were those spent with her four grandchildren Alexander, Savannah, Joshua and Alyssa. Laurella was an active member of Gordon United Church; donations to the church in her memory would be much appreciated. Special thanks to Dr. J Ritter of palliative care, her VON and chemo nurses, her dietician L. Roy and the nurses of 3 West at the Glace Bay General Hospital.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Patten’s Funeral Home, May 12, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A memorial service will be held at Gordon United Church, May 13 at 11.00 with reception to follow. Burial will be at Forest Haven.
