Allan McDonald
The funeral of the late Allan J. McDonald was held Saturday, April 30, 2011 at St. Joseph's Church, Sydney. At this time, we the family of Allan, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the many who were so kind to us: each in their own special way: We remember with thanks, a dedicated and caring management and staff at Taigh Na Mara Nursing Home, Rev. Conrad Edwards, Rev. Norman MacPhee, and Rev. Everett MacDow. We send thanks to our neighbors, friends, and family members who sent flowers, gave donations, sent food and cards of condolence. We wish also to thank those who telephoned, attended the wake and participated by their attendance at the mass. Sincere thanks also to Pat Moore, the choir, altar servers and readers, Mary Lou MacKinnon and Sr. Franklyn Ferguson. We thank Father Edwards for the touching words of comfort for the family and celebration of Allan's life. We thank Cecilia Ferguson and Joey McNeil for being there for us at frequent intervals. We acknowledge Bill Curry and his staff for their compassion and professionalism. And finally we offer sincere gratitude and appreciation to you all. Joyce, Allan and Marilyn, Robbie and Diane.
