Born in Sea View, May 20, 1937, son of the late G. Edwin and Glenn B. (Campbell) Murphy. Husband of Janet H. (MacRae) Murphy. Father of Carla J. Lewis, Victoria, British Columbia; G. Edwin Murphy, Calgary, Alberta; and Lisa R. Murphy (Darryl Poyner) Park Corner, P.E.I. Loving grandfather to Matthew, Dylan, Nicholas, Sean, Brieann and Ireland, Calgary, Alberta. Brother of Lloyd (Winnie) Murphy, St. Patricks Road; Rita (Fred) MacAusland, Sea View; Helen (Dale) Muttart, Miscouche; Sylvia (David) Kiff, Kensington; Georgia (Walter) Scott, Hamilton, Ontario; Heather (Neil) Moore, Saskatoon; and Glenda Murphy, Kensington. Brother-in-law of Isabelle Picketts, Joan (Vernon) Simpson, Clifford Picketts and Barbara MacRae. Predeceased by his sister Lois Murphy.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington. No visitation or funeral service by personal request. A private committal service will be held at St. Thomas Anglican Church Cemetery, Spring Brook. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
