The death occurred suddenly at home in Vancouver, B.C., on Monday, Aug. 17, of John Daniel "Danny" Courtney, aged 67 years. Born in Dartmouth, N.S., he was the son of Alice Gallant Courtney, who lives in Summerside. Also survived by his wife Jeannette; son Parker of Dartmouth, N.S.; brothers Thomas (Jane) of North Carleton, Kenneth of Granville, Patrick (Roma) of Summerside; and a sister Marlene of Bedeque. Predeceased by his father Jack. Arrangements have been made in Vancouver and a memorial is planned on the Island at a later date.
