It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of the late Annie Maria Stone, announces her peaceful passing surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 74. Born in West Point, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Emily (Upwards) Riles. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving husband Cecil of 57 years, her children Garland (Jacqueline) Stone, Marvin Stone (Laura Jestus-Patenaude), Madonna Savoury (Harrison Hynes), and Dennis (Pauline) Stone, grandchildren, Samantha Stone (Nathan Sonier), Justin Stone (Kimmy Langer), Alexis and Liam Stone, brothers: Gilbert Riles and Henry (Yvonne) Riles, sisters: Millie (Max) Seaward, Julie (Ron) Slade and Katie (George) King, brother –in-law, Clarence Robbins as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Annie was predeceased by her sister, Mary Robbins, brother, Alex Riles, brother-in-law’s, Walter and Wesley Stone and sisters in laws, Amy Riles and Ada Stone. Visitation took place on Saturday, January 20 and Sunday, January 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., at St. Michael’s and All Angels, in Rose Blanche, with funeral service held on Monday, January 22 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Michael’s and All Angels, with Rev. Jeffrey Petten officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle-aux-Morts Road. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in memory of Annie can be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port aux Basques.
