Arthur Garry Carriere
October 7, 1952 – January 21, 2018
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Garry Carriere at the age of 65.

Words cannot express how much he will be missed by Shirley, his wife of 40 years, his 4 children Darryl (Lori), Jason (Leah), Chris, and Brenda (Richard), 13 grandchildren Adrian, Evan, Lara, Anna, Molly, Nick, Kris, Emma, Benjamin, Morgan, Carter, Spencer and Drew and a great-grandchild on the way.

Garry was born in Prince Albert, SK to Arthur and Mary Carriere. He is predeceased by siblings Louise, Elsie and Henry and survived by Fran (John), Debbie (Bill) and Bud (Sharon).

Although he came from humble beginnings, Garry was a successful businessman. Starting off as a truck driver, Garry worked his way up eventually owning his own highly successful business with Shirley as his partner.

After retirement, he and Shirley loved to spend the winters in Mesa, AZ, where they had many close friends. He and Shirley also loved to travel and drove across Canada and through much of the US, and also travelled to Mexico, Italy, France, Denmark, Switzerland and Germany.

Wherever he went, Garry met new people and made new friends. He loved to be with friends and family, who fondly remember the many good times they shared. Most of all, Garry will be remembered for his loving devotion to his family, including many nieces and nephews. His commitment, support and generosity were unwavering. We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Garry but he will remain forever in our hearts.

Garry’s Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday January 27, 2018 at the Royal Executive Hotel, 8450 Sparrow Drive, Leduc.

Inurnment will take place at Leduc Cemetery, 6108 43 St, Leduc on Sunday January 28, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
