Florence E. Sonier, 93, of Amherst, a resident of Northumberland Hall, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
Born in Linden she was a daughter of the late Miner & Myrtle (Brownell) Wood.
She will be dearly missed by her sons, Darrell (Barbara) of Windsor, ON, Kenneth (Margaret) of Waterloo, ON, David (Sheila) of Amherst, NS; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Doris Marshall of Oxford, NS, Minnie Coates, Amherst, Blanche Smith of Shinimicas, NS and Marguerite Hodgson of Amherst; a sister-in-law Edith Wood, Linden, NS.
She was predeceased by her husband William Sonier and infant son, Jimmy, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst from where the funeral service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 2:30 pm. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 12:30 to the time of the funeral at 2:30. Burial in the Maccan Baptist Church Cemetery.
