DACRE, GEORGE STANLEY - George Dacre of Saint John passed away on May 11, 2011, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on July 10, 1928, he was the son of the late Stanley Dixon Dacre and Beatrice (MacKenzie) Dacre. He is survived by two sisters, Gertrude Petite of Halifax, NS, and Beatrice (George) Lockett of Rothesay, two nephews, and five nieces. George was employed as a longshoreman for many years. He most recently resided at the Loch Lomond Villa.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 2:00pm, with the Ven. David Edwards officiating. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
