Trenton - Gary Errol Perry, age 65, of Diamond Street, Trenton, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late James S. and Jessie (Betts) Perry. He was a former employee of the Department of Transportation and John Rivers Trucking. He was a committee member of Lorne Street Cemetery and a life member of the Progressive Conservative Party. Gary is survived by his sons: Gary James (Bonnie),Trenton; Benjie (Heather), Amherst; chosen son Herbie Rutledge, Trenton; 11 grandchildren: Cody, Daniel, Autumn, Jessie, Emily, Michael, Ryan, Benjamin, Max, Morgan and Tanner; 2 great grandchildren: Brayson and Lucas; sister: Shirley Myers, Prince Edward Island; brothers: Philip (Diane) Perry, New Glasgow; Fred (Evelyn) Perry, Springville; William Perry, Ottawa, ON; Emerson (Mary) Perry, Little Egypt; Edward Perry, Trenton; sister-in-law: Delma Perry, Rocklin; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters: Annie Hughes, Janie Anderson, June MacDonald, Helen Provost, Aileen Carey; brothers: James (Sonny) Perry, Ernest Perry, Jack Perry, George Perry, Vernon (Cookie) Perry. Gary was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters in law. Visitation Thursday 7-9 pm and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton. Funeral service 1 pm Saturday in the Church of the Nazarene, Trenton with Terry Dryden officiating. Burial will be in Lorne Street Cemetery.
