Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Sunday, February 4, 2018, after a long and courageous battle with ALS, in the presence of his loving family and friends, at age 63. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Margaret Penney; and special aunt and uncle, Lillian and Thomas Stevenson. Left with fond and loving memories his daughter Susan Vere-Holloway (Scott), and son Tom (Candice), and their mother Eleanor; 2 grandsons, Grady and Ethan; sister Catherine; 2 brothers, Michael and Terry (Maureen); also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation to take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Tuesday, February 6th, from 7:00pm-9:00pm; and on Wednesday, February 7th, from 2:00pm-5:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Memorial service to be held from St. Peter’s Parish, Ashford Drive on Thursday, February 8th, at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
