It’s with peaceful hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Theresa Choponis (nee Lavallie) of Edmonton, AB, on Monday, February 5, 2018, at the age of 65 years. Born and raised in Prince Albert, SK, Sharon was a proud twin and sister to five siblings. Sharon made many friends throughout her life in Prince Albert and touched the hearts and funny bones of many people while she worked at Carnival Bingo for over 30 years. Her laughter was a trademark of hers and she will be sorely missed by all. Sharon was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wally; both of her parents, Alfred and Alexina Lavallie; her twin sister, Shirley; her brother, Dewayne; and her sisters, Velma and Lorna. She leaves to mourn her children, Penny, Deanna and Edward (Chelsea); her three grandchildren, Jessica, Keira and Lila; and her great grandchild, Dominic; her older brother, Douglas (Flo) Lavallie; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends and her fur baby, Mister. Sharon’s funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at River Park Memorial Chapel in Prince Albert, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Canada at www.alzheimer.ca.
