The death occurred at Andrews of Summerside on Thursday, May 12, 2011, of Helena Birch, RN, of Summerside, aged 86 years.
Born in Saskatoon, SK, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Maude (Baird) Bell. Survived by her daughter, Karleen Mitchell, Lower Sackville, N.S.; Donna Birch (Ron Dowling), Summerside; Wendy (Glenn) Holmes, Stratford; grandchildren Shawna, Troy (Christine), Jamie, Ben and Landon; great-granddaughter, Madeline; sister-in-law, Mary Bell, Edmonton, AB; and by her brother-in-law, Robert McKay, Niagara, ON.
Predeceased by her husband, Donald Birch; brother, Donald Bell; sister, Jeanann McKay; and by her son-in-law, Lawrence Mitchell.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside. A private family graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. No visiting hours by personal request.
