Charlotte Sherman-Powell
MRS. CHARLOTTE M. SHERMAN-POWELL - Mrs. Charlotte M. Sherman Powell age 83, died in Merced, California on May 3, 2011 from congestive heart failure. She was born in McAdam on February 16, 1928 and was the youngest of ten children born to Mr. and Mrs. Howard V. and Margaret Blanche Sherman. She attended the local McAdam schools and was an active member of the Pentecostal Church. Charlotte M. Sherman married P. Jack Powell of Portland, Oregon and moved to Kittery, Maine where they raised four children. Mrs. Charlotte M. Sherman-Powell earned her LPN in 1963 and spent her career caring for the elderly. She is survived by two daughter's C. Jacqueline Powell, Windham, Maine and Mary Ruth Vega, Merced, California and her sister's, Mrs. Ruth J. Bryanton, St. Stephen's, New Brunswick, and Mrs. Wanda R. Bockus and brother-in-law Raymond G. Bockus, Quebec, Canada. She is survived by ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren all residing in the United States, and an extended family of nephews and nieces throughout New Brunswick and Canada. Charlotte M. Powell was predeceased by her husband P. Jack Powell, 2005, two children, John F. Powell 2006 and Margaret J. Hamel 2006. The family of Mrs. Charlotte M. Sherman-Powell will bring her remains home to McAdam for burial. Her nephew, Pastor George S. Mott, of Canterberry, New Brunswick will officiate a graveside burial service at the Rockland McAdam Cemetery at 2:00 pm Saturday 28, 2011. For inquires, please contact Pastor George S.
