It is with great sadness that the family of the late Margaret Pittman announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Monday, August 17/09 at the age of 92 years. She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Alma (Springdale), Edna (Collin), New Brunswick, Jessie (Maurice), Daphne (Scott), Sops Arm; her sons: Hubert, Jacksons Arm and Cyril (Theresa), Alonzo (Annie), Garry (Patsy), Ontario; her sons-in-law: Roy Gillingham and Jerry Brenton; her sister-in-law, Gladys Blanchard; also 45 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and her very special friend, Mildred Wicks and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, James Pittman; daughters: Rose, Martha and Winnie; son, Gilbert; grandsons: Gary Pittman and Everett Pittman; sons- in-law: Harold Pittman and El Pittman. The family will be receiving family and friends from St. Bartholomew Anglican Church in Jacksons Arm today from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., from where the funeral service will take place on Thursday at 2:00 p.m., Canon John Meade officiating. Flowers graciously accepted and donations to a charity of one’s choice. Interment to take place at the Anglican Cemetery in Jacksons Arm.
