The death occurred on Friday May 13, 2011 at the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Hospital, Alberton of Lorraine Gallant, Miminegash aged 69 years. Beloved wife of Bernard (Bernie) Gallant. She was born in Bloomfield on July 28, 1941, the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Alice (Gallant) Brown. Cherished mother of Wade (Colleen) Gallant, St. Lawrence, Laura Lee (Murray) Perry, St. Felix and Marlene (Peter) Murphy, St. Lawrence. Loving grandmother of Christopher, Ryan, Sarah and Connor Perry, Mitch and Jake Gallant, Jennifer, Katie and Paige Murphy. Dear sister of Frank (Eileen) Brown, St. Louis, Merina Blanchard, Summerside and Leitha Perry, Moncton, N.B and special friend Gloria Perry, St. Felix. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Maryanne Gallant, Miminegash and the following brothers and sisters-in-law Louis (Rita) Gallant, Benny (Debbie) Gallant, Jackie (Miriam) Gallant, Wayne (Louanne) Gallant, Gerald Gallant (Stephanie), Alyre (Elsie) Gallant, Kenny (Valerie) Gallant, Ellen (Wayne) Haywood, Bertha (Gerald) Murphy, Mabel Thibodeau, Ann Love, Eileen (Blair) Kinch, Geraldine (Bev) Gallant, Lena Brown and Elaine McCormick. She was predeceased by her parents Ferdinand and Alice, brothers Wayne and Dennis, father-in-law John Gallant and brothers-in-law Reggie Gallant, William Thibodeau, Claude Perry and Leo Blanchard. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Rd. for visiting hours Sunday 7-9 p.m. and Monday 9-10:30 p.m. Funeral will be held Monday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 11 am. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Hospital or the Western Hospital Cardiac Monitor Fund or the Miminegash Fire Dept. Equipment Fund.
