WOODEN, ALICE - Alice Hazel (Duplisea) Wooden of Seely Lodge Grandbay-Westfield, formerly of Enniskillen NB passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on May 14, 2011 at the age of 92. Hazel is the last surviving member of her family. She is survived by her two daughters; Irene Rees (Maurice), of Saint John NB and Marilyn Sparks of Enniskillen, NB, her two sons Brian Wooden (Jill) of Grandbay-Westfield, NB and Arthur Wooden (Gloria) of Central Blissville, NB along with 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Hazel was a member of the Hoyt Baptist Church and was. a Homemaker to her family. She was a proud member Hoyt Hospital Aid and the Women's Missionary Society. Hazel enjoyed knitting, reading doing crafts and puzzles. She is predeceased by her husband Irven Wooden (1976), her parents Alice (Howe) and Andrew Duplisea, four sisters; Winnifred Harron, Evelyn Lewis, Lois Diener and Maude Duplisea, a brother Stanley Duplisea and two grandchildren Shelly and Troy.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home for visitations on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 form 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be from Hoyt Baptist Church on May 18, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Blake Perrin officiating. Interment to follow in the Hoyt Baptist Cemetery.
