We, the family of Edward Joseph MacDonald regret to announce his passing on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at Victoria Haven Nursing Home, Glace Bay.
He was born on May 4, 1937 to Daniel and Edna (Robard) MacDonald.
Eddy is survived by his daughters, Linda (Allan) Graham, Peggy Buchanan and Barbara (Pat) O’Regan and by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Josephine, brothers, Stevie and Clarence and son-in-law, Francis Buchanan.
By request there will be no visitation. Cemetery committal service will be held Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery with Nancy Whitney officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, N.S.
