BAILEY, DOUGLAS F. - Douglas Freeman Bailey of Saint John passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on May 14, 2011. Born August of 1928 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Arthur and Francis (Lavigne) Bailey. Doug enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved to hunt, fish, camp and play guitar. He is survived by his daughter Deborah Savoy (Leonard McNulty) of Saint John; sons Freeman D. Bailey (Maureen Atwell) of Grand Bay-Westfield and Murray J. D. Bailey of Alberta; brother Murray M. Bailey and sisters Marion Morton both of Saint John and Hazel Roy (John) of Nova Scotia; six grandchildren and one great grandson; nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents Doug was predeceased by his daughter Carolyn F. Bailey, sister Ivy and two brothers Eddie and Selmer.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday, May 17th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 18th at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Fernhill Cemetery.
