Peacefully, surrounded by her six children, Anna Rita Gaudet of Parkdale passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, May 15, 2011, in her 86th year.
Beloved wife of the late Ed Gaudet and daughter of the late Henry and Angie Doiron. Dear mother of Donald, Linda (Allan) Callard, Paula (Wayne) Birch, George (Esther Desgagne), Marsha (Donald) Grant, Glenn (Cheryl). Lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Nancy (Mike) Taber, Melissa Callard (Les Tench, deceased), Angela and Michael Birch, Robert Gaudet, Caroline Gaudet (Justin Gallant) Chelsea and Kurt Gaudet, Rachel, Bekah and Samuel Grant; great-grandchildren, Stewart Callard, Nicholas Taber. Anna is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Florence Beaton, Marie Misener, Irma Gallant, Gloria Stewart and by sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Irene Gallant, Rita Gaudet, Mary Gaudet, Rita Gaudet (Louie deceased), Louise Doiron, Bertha Doucette, Louie Peters.
She was predeceased by sisters, Norma Peters and Teresa Carmichael, and brothers, Leo and Pius Doiron, as well as many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and Hospice Palliative Care Association of P.E.I.
Visiting hours at the funeral home Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Members of the CWL will gather at the funeral home Wednesday evening for a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
