BAIRD, Andrew Boyd – 1951 - 2008. Andy passed away peacefully at Yucalta Lodge in Campbell River, Vancouver Island on Monday, November 3, 2008. Survived by his wife Iola, daughter Siobhan, son Alexander and step-son Gerry; his Mother Hester; brother David, his wife Jeanie, their son David and daughter Amy; sister Deborah and her husband Stephen Wadhams. Pre-deceased by his father, Dr. Douglas Baird. The family expresses our immense gratitude to Dr. Robert Ramsey and the staff of Yucalta Lodge for their skillful and tender care of Andy, and to the doctors and staff at the Huntington’s Disease Resource Centre at the University of British Columbia for their support to us and to Andy throughout the last several years. There will be a Celebration of Andy’s life at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (The Kirk) on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. A Reception in the Church Hall will follow the service.
