It is with great sorrow that the family of Enis Martin of Glace Bay announce his passing on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the age of 88 years.
Born in Glace Bay, Enis was the son of the late Jack and Charlotte (Gillis) Martin. Enis spent the years of the Second World War serving in the Merchant Marines overseas.
Enis had a great love and passion for violin and fiddle music. He enjoyed playing the violin throughout his entire life sharing his love of music with all those who knew him.
Enis is survived by his brother, John Martin of Glace Bay and several nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all.
Besides his parents, Enis was predeceased by sisters, Barbara, Rita and Catherine; brothers, Buddy, Roy and Adrian.
Visitation will be held in Curry's Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay, Friday May 20, 2011 from 9 a.m. until time of service which will be held at 11 a.m. in St. John's Church in New Aberdeen with Fr. Leo Boone officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
