Passed peacefully away holding the hands of her “favorite son-in-law” John and eldest granddaughter Kelly at Lion's Manor, Placentia on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, Drucilla McCarthy of Carbonear, age 89 years. Drucilla is the last of the Long Drungers. Predeceased by daughter: Theresa Nicholl; parents: Frederick and Frances McCarthy; brothers: Patrick, William, Thomas, and Frederick. Left to mourn, son-in-law: John Nicholl (Geraldine), Paradise; three grandchildren: Kelly (Shannon), Anthony (Olga), and Wendy (Rick); eight great-grandchildren: Taylor, Brianna, Patrick, Beacan, Edward, Michael, Emily, and Jessica; one sister: Agnes Neville, St. John’s; special friends: Patsy Coombs Ennis, Placentia and Alec Nicholl, Kelligrews; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Father Emmanuel Osuagwu conducted the Funeral service on Friday, March 9 from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment was in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carbonear.
