Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, February 19, 2008, Dorothy Mary Kennedy (nee Purcell) of St. John's, age 78 years. Predeceased by husband James (1997); brothers George, Jim, Gord and Bill; sisters Anne, Nell and Beth. Left to mourn daughters Madonna and Sheila (Andrew); sons Terry (Debbie) and Kevin (Judy); grandchildren Michelle, Michael, Tony, Glenn, Amanda, Darrin, Tanya and Terri Lynn; great-grandchildren Joshua, Jenna, Brady, Sierra, Ethan, Philip, Eric, Jeremy, Olivia and Anthony; brother Ned Purcell (Mary) of Cambridge, ON; sister Mary Bradbury, St. John's; very special friends Agnes Anthony and Betty Sweeney; also a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd. Visitation on Wednesday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, February 22 at 11:30 a.m. from St. Teresa's Church. Interment to follow Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Association.
