Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on August 19th, 2009 after a long life that demonstrated great courage and exceptional charity, Gladys Williams. Predeceased by parents William and Jessie and brothers Harold, Leslie and Cecil. Leaving to mourn “life long sister”, her cousin, Blanche Starkes (nee Chafe/Heffernan); extended family: Ruby (Lloyd) Williams, Shirley (Dave) Smith, Adrian (Carole) Heffernan, Lucy (Eric) Adams; exceptional friends Patricia and Emma at Cradea Manor; special nieces: Judy Gillett, Marjorie Howlett and special grand-nieces Regina Guest and Michelle Gillett, along with a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Waking at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. and also on Friday from 10-12 p.m. Service to take place from St. Michael’s Anglican Church on Friday, August 21st, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Goulds.
