It is with great sadness that the family of the late Irene Hann announce her passing on Monday, May 16th, 2011 at the Long Term Care in Corner Brook in her 72nd year. She will be sadly missed by her children, Carl (Janice) of Stephenville, Brian (Joanne) of Dartmouth, NS and Jim of Cold Lake, Alberta. Five grandchildren: Gregory, Matthew, Adam, Troy and Elisse and one great-grandchild Logan. Her sisters Pearl (George) Rose & Millicent Burry, both of Corner Brook, Marion (William) Binder of St. John's and Joyce (Butch) Rowsell of Halifax. Brothers-in-law Norville (Mabel) Oxford, Labrador City, William Hann and Gary (Cordella) Hann, both of Corner Brook, sister-in-law Marie Oxford of Corner Brook as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Royd, parents Abel & Marion, brothers: Edison, Roy (Katie), Leslie and Basil (Masie), mother and father-in-law James and Dorothy Hann, brother-in-law George Burry and sister-in-law Shirley Hann. Visitation took place from Country Haven Funeral Home in Corner Brook on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place today, Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. from Humber United Church with Rev. Waite officiating, interment to follow in the family plot at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 Northmain Street Deer Lake.
