TOWER, PAULETTE “PAULA” nee HORNE - 1938 - 2011 - In loving memory of a wife and mother. Paula passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, May 16th, 2011 after a brief illness. Paula was the youngest of three children; although she was born in Inverness, Nova Scotia, Enfield was her childhood home. Paula loved singing and dancing and took great pride in her television appearance on the Don Messer Show. Paula was not only a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother and a grand mother but also loved her walks, exercise classes, listening to music and was a great cook. She was an avid hockey fan especially of her grandson’s games and she was a generous supporter of her grandchildren’s musical and drama talents. Paulette will be sadly missed by her husband Ernest and four children; Michelle (Richard), Sonya (Marc), Trudy (Andy), and Ward (Jackie). Paula has one surviving brother Vaughan Horne (Myrene) who resides in Enfield. Paula adored her six grandchildren who were the love of her life; Aaron, Ashley, Celina, Brianne, Rémi and Lincoln. Her nieces and nephews Vanda, Annie, Maria, Vaughn and Frances were dear to her. Paula greatly appreciated the love and support shown by her husband, Ernie. She was predeceased by her parents Cyril and Frances Horne, a brother Maurice and by close family friend Earl. Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, evening May 20th, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 21 in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home, Dr. L. D. Buckingham officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or a memorial of the donor’s choice. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Special thanks to Extra Mural Hospital, Doctors and nursing staff (3A) of the Dr. G. L. Dumont Hospital.
