MacDOUGALL, GARLENE M. A. - 1938 - 2011 - Miramichi - Garlene Margaret Alice MacDougall, widow of the late Lawrence F. MacDougall, of Route 117, Black River Bridge, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Monday, May 16, 2011, at the age of 72. Born in Collingwood, Ont., on September 13, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Theodora (Garbet) Young. She was a homemaker and a former employee of the Toronto Y.M.C.A. as a child care worker. She was Presbyterian by Faith. She is survived by one daughter, Jamie MacDougall, of Black River Bridge; one son, Frank MacDougall (Wendy), of Cambridge, Ont.; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence, in 2006; two sisters, Carol Adams and Helen Cunningham; one brother, William Young.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Derek Krunys. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Black River Cemetery Fund, would be appreciated by the family.
