Passed peacefully away on May 16, 2011, in his 89th year. WWII Royal Navy Veteran and former CN Engineer. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Vivian (nee Cluett); daughters: Jennifer (Paul Churchill), Karen (Dave Martin - both living in Gander), and Heather (Ron Williams); sister Ruth Payton (living in Perth, Scotland); stepbrother Aubrey Rogers (Bernice); stepsisters: Lavine Cullimore (Albert), Mary Keats, Lucie Hawley, Gertrude Elton (Douglas) and Margaret Rose. Also leaving to mourn grandchildren: Wendy Churchill (Andrew), Kimberley French (Adam), David Churchill, Amy Martin, Peter Martin (Julie), Jason Williams (Suzanne), Dawn French (Taylor); and six precious great-grandchildren: Cameron, Nyah, Jaden, Jack, Hannah and Nathan. Special thanks to St. Luke’s staff for their care and compassion. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Wednesday, May 18th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Memorial service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 11 a.m., with interment to take place at 1 p.m. that afternoon.
