Passed peacefully away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, Dora White of Sandy Cove, NL, age 90 years. She leaves loving memories behind to her daughter Daisy, son-in-law Bill and granddaughter Melanie Gibbons. She was predeceased by husband Eldred, grandson Stefan Eldred (Gibbons), father Emmanuel White, mother Emily (née Woodward) who lived in Reef’s Harbour, and her sister Annie Myers. She was the last of her siblings: Margaret Beaudion, Eliza Gould, Leah Coombs, Stella Coles, Elijah White and twin brother Joseph Hubert White. Visitation took place at St. Thomas Anglican Church at her home in Sandy Cove and at the homes of her nephew Harrison White and niece Geneva Woodward (Rocky). Rev. Marlene Harvey officiated at the family service on Thursday, May 5 with assistance from Lay Minister, Joyce White. Gloria White played the organ, and her two nieces Lucy and Joy White sang at the service. The celebration of her life took place at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 6 with Rev. Marlene Harvey, Rev. Vallus and her niece Geneva Woodward (Lay Minister) officiating. Readings were done by her great-niece Trudy Coles and nephew Roland Parrill. The burial followed the service at the cemetery in Savage Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director
