Peacefully, surrounded by family, at his late residence on Thursday, April 12, 2018 of Donald J. "Don" Fitzpatrick of Charlottetown, age 84 years. Beloved husband of the late Pearl B. (nee McCabe) Fitzpatrick and dear father to Debbie (Bill) Geldert, Nancy (Joey) Affleck, Ernie (Sue-Ann) Farrell, Andy (Mai) Fitzpatrick, Dawn (Kevin) Gillespie, Tanya (Mike) MacKinnon and special daughter Carol Doucette. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and sisters Theresa Wilson, Eileen Morrison and Dianne Gardiner. Predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Marie (nee MacKinnon) Fitzpatrick, brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Victor, Mary MacLean, Ralph Fitzpatrick, Joseph Fitzpatrick, Gerald Fitzpatrick, Pius Fitzpatrick, Leonard Fitzpatrick, Edna Morrison, Irene Johnston, and two infant grandchildren Robert William and James Matthew Geldert. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Monday, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
