At his home on Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, of Tilman Joseph Blanchard of Fortune Cove, aged 68 years, beloved husband of Linda (Hilton) Blanchard. Born on Jan. 15, 1941, in Piusville P.E.I., son of the late Anthony and Lena (Gallant) Blanchard. Cherished father of Kim (John) Wilson, Innisville, Ont.; and Nicole Blanchard of Fortune Cove. Loving grandfather of Lindsay and Michelle Wilson. Dear brother of Norman (Anne), Shediac, N.B.; Leo, Alberton; Gerald (Myrna), Piusville; Bernadette (Clovis) Doucette, Charlottetown; Teresa (Willie) Doucette, Alberton; James, Moncton, N.B.; and Clarence (Deloris), Piusville. Brother-in-law of Eleanor Blanchard, Moncton, and Diane Reid, Sherwood Park, Alta. Uncle of several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, brother Adrian, nephew Shane, sisters-in-law NormaBlanchard and Beatrice Blanchard, and father- and mother-in-law, Earl and Violet Hilton. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday until 10 a.m., then to St. Anthony’s Church, Woodstock, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in the Parish Cemetery. Members of the Knights of Columbus will hold a service of remembrance for their late brother at the funeral home on Monday at 6:45 p.m. Memorials to the Cancer Society or the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated.
