(July 5, 1915- May 19, 2011). With gratitude for a long and happy life, filled with love and devotion to her family and service to others, the family of Elizabeth Murphy, Long Harbour, announce her passing at St. Clare's Hospital in her 96th year. Predeceased by her son, Aloysius (1994). Leaving to mourn Dennis, her husband of 67 years; her daughters: Cecilia (Gordon) Brothers, Bridget (Gerard, deceased) Keating, Yvonne (Don) Whitty; sons: Terry (Betty), Gerard (Vivian), Dennis, Colin, and Richard; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Resting at Holloway's Funeral Home, Whitbourne. Visitation Friday, May 20th from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. Funeral service to take place on Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Church, Long Harbour. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Cambridge Estates, St. John's, where she lived during the past year and to the staff of 7 West, St. Clare's Hospital for their exceptional care in her final days.
