We, the family of Annie MacPherson, would like to send our heartfelt thanks to the many family and friends for their kindness during the recent loss of our wife, mom, grandma/granny, and great-grammie. For those who phoned, visited, offered messages of condolence, shared memories, brought food to our homes, sent cards, flowers, and memorial donations, we are grateful; your kindness truly helped to ease the pain of our loss. Thank you to Colin Weatherbee and the staff at Sydney Memorial chapel for their professionalism, comfort, and support during this difficult time. We would like to extend a special thank you to Reverend Lydia MacKinnon for the heartfelt funeral service and constant support throughout Mom’s illness. To organist, Blanche Cann and the combined choir from local community churches, thank for the beautiful music. Thank you to the Pallbearers, grandsons-Kent, Robb, Ryan and Kori MacPherson, and nephews- John Willie and David MacPherson, and Perry Mason; and to the Mira Seniors and Pensioners Club Honor Guard for their contribution to the funeral service. We would also like to express our appreciation to St. Columba Presbyterian Church Ladies Guild, who provided a delicious and abundant selection of food for the reception. Finally, we would like to acknowledge the many special people who cared for Mom throughout her illness. To Dr. Liam Orrell, Dr. Khododad and the Cancer Centre team, the 4A and An Cala staff of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, we thank you for your compassion and care. During her illness, many family and friends showed love and support through cards, words of encouragement, drives to appointments, and of course, in true Cape Breton style, gifts of food –please know that these kind acts made a difference for Mom and eased the burden of the illness.
The support shown to us during this difficult time will forever be remembered and appreciated.
