Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at The Health Sciences Centre on August 23, 2009 at the age of 72 years. Predeceased by his son Jim (1985, parents Elijah and Marcella and brother Joe. Left to mourn his loving wife of 50 years Selena, sons Gary (Alicia), Daryl (Lynne) both of Ottawa, Ont. Grandchildren Jamie (Edmonton), Emilie and Jimmy (Ottawa), brother Bill (Fort McMurray), sister Emily (Benton, N.L.) as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. At George’s request, cremation has taken place. A private service will take place at a later date in North Harbour, Placentia Bay, N.L.
