HAMILTON, Gary Wills – 70, of Salmon River, Digby Co., passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Health Sciences Centre on May 15, 2011. Born on May 25, 1940, in Carleton, Yarmouth Co., he was a son of the late Walter and Hilda (Doucette) Hamilton. Gary was a technician for 28 years with Viking Cable/Eastlink. His greatest past-time was his 1957 Studebaker. He enjoyed family visits and loved talking to his friends in New Brunswick. He is survived by daughter, Betty Ann (Kevin) Penney; son, Billy (Mary Lou) Hamilton; sister, Donna Hamilton; grandchildren, Krissie, Jodee, Morgan, Jenna, Lacey and Jake; great-grandchildren, Dawson and Keirden; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by beloved wife, Marilyn Hamilton. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Yarmouth. Visitation took place Wednesday, May 18 from 7-9 p.m. There was no funeral service by family request. Family and friends gathered at Sweeny’s Funeral Home on Thursday, May 19 at 10 a.m., and proceeded to Carleton Cemetery for interment. Family flowers only, please.
