Constance "Connie" Freeze
FREEZE, CONSTANCE "CONNIE" - The death of Constance “Connie” Madeline (Ross) Freeze, wife of the late Malcolm M. Freeze, occurred peacefully on Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Kings Way Care Center. Born 1921 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Harry Park and Venia (Hampton) Ross. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her brother Edward Ross; sisters Marge Chute and Barbara Ross; nieces Kathy Ross and Diane Seeley. Connie was a past member of Sea Bells, United Church Exmouth Street Choir and was an Explorers and CGIT leader. She was a long time employee of Capital Theatre, Paramount Theatre, Eatons and Sears. Connie had many talents including knitting and ceramics among her favorites. Connie traveled the world extensively including Venezuela, Australia, Russia and most points in between, but her greatest passion of all was shopping, with the exception of her three children, that is. She is survived by her loving children, Sandy Freeze and Timothy Allison Park Freeze both of Saint John, and Dawne Freeze of Rothesay; sister Jean Higgins of Hampton; special niece Marion Freeze of Saint John and several nieces and nephews.
By request there will be no visitations. A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens, Latimore Lake Road, on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Connie made to the Kings Way Care Center would be appreciated by the family.
