Dear Matthew,
Sad and sudden was the call
So dearly loved by one and all.
Your memory is as sweet today
As in the hour, God called you away.
Sunshine passes, shadows fall.
Love's remembrance outlasts all,
And though these 6 years are long but few,
They are filled with wonderful memories of you.
Our Hearts remain broken but we move forward with Matt by our side until we meet again.
Matthew’s memory lives on through the annual Matthew Fitzgerald Memorial Hockey Scholarship Tournament, aka “The Fitzy”, which provides a great opportunity for a high school graduate to study for a career in the Trade Industry. The Tournament is held each December right before Matthew’s favorite holiday and it brings a huge community of friends and family together. We are humbled by the continued outpouring of support, generosity, and love from our community to continue to host this event. It just would not be possible without all of you! For this, we are eternally grateful – thank you.
