Gallant
The death occured peacefully and surrounded by her family at Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Thursday, May 19, 2011, of Roséline Marie Gallant (née Arsenault), formerly of Saint-Chrysostome, P.E.I., aged 92 years, 11 months. Born on June 16, 1918, she was the eldest daughter of the late Philibert and Marguerite Arsenault of Abram-Village. Beloved mother of Claire (Rosaire), Irishtown, N.B.; Cécile (Jean Joseph), Summerside; Maurice (Susan), Summerside; Denis (Anne), Ottawa, Ont.; Julien (Edna), Saint-Chrysostome; Raymond (Imelda), Wellington; and Louise, Stratford. Loving grandmother to François, Sophie, Jacques, Alexis, Étienne, Dominique, Benjamin, Amy, Marc, Justin, Joel, Liane, Gaston, Guy, and Lisanne, as well as special aunt to numerous nephews and nieces. Also survived by sisters Denise Arsenault and Florina Gallant, Abram-Village; Sister Marie B. Arsenault, Charlottetown; Aline (Roma) Trudeau, Sister Jeanne Arsenault, Louise Arsenault, and brother Fidèle (Aurore) Arsenault, all of Lachine, QC. Apart from her parents, she was predeceased by husband J. François (Frank) Gallant; brothers Toussaint, Augustin, and Léandre, and sisters Marie-Rose Chiasson and Émilienne Wedge. Resting at the Evangeline Funeral Home, Urbainville; visiting hours will be Sunday, May 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Viewing also on Monday, May 23, from 9 to 10 a.m., then to Saint-Philippe and Saint-Jacques Roman Catholic Church, Egmont Bay, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. At the request of the family, donations to the Wedgewood Manor Memorial Fund would be welcomed in appreciation for the excellent care given to our mother Roséline.
